Work Experience Student

This year I have been very blessed to have my first work experience student in the studio. She is here to help and to learn, which is great for me, because we can use the extra help, AND I get to teach! What makes the deal even sweeter is that it's Britni, who was a student of mine back when I was teaching Grade 1. She is all grown up, lovely and smart as ever, and a joy to have around. Here are a few quick pictures I took of her today, just to make her welcome official :).  Thanks for choosing us for your work experience, Britni and for fitting in so well with our craziness!

My first Bowling Alley Shoot!

Hello everyone! Two days of entries in a row - not bad, not bad..

Today I give you a Grad that loves to bowl. And because of that, we, of course, did his first session in the local bowling alley! It was great to be able to challenge myself with angles and improvise backgrounds. So for your viewing pleasure, some of my favorites of Josh :)

We're back!

Sooo, after much figuring out and preparation, we are back into the swing of things! January at Crystal Portraits has traditionally been a month of searching out new products and revisiting business practices and software, etc. This year our January ran into February because we had so very much that we wanted to accomplish. We came up with some WONDERFUL ideas and are excited to share everything with our clients. I have been too busy to put much time into my website, which I apologize profusely for, but I'm almost ready for the updates and to post more frequently on my blog. Keep a look out for the Wedding Gallery that can finally be uploaded (I had 10 weddings last year and feel strongly that everyone needs to be represented somehow) and to the changes that will be made in other areas.
As for my sessions, I am shooting Grad portraits right now as well as dealing with some pretty sweet little babies - kids very young to all grown up - SO much fun! Here are a few of my favorites from a recent Grad session, with more to follow in the days and weeks to come.
